Snorkeling

Snorkeling is a great alternative for one who cannot afford to scuba dive, or who has a fear of being underneath the water! Snorkeling lets you swim with your face down in the water, so you can view all of the great marine life, and experience the underworld without diving hundreds of feet down. Many who get claustrophobic from scuba diving find snorkeling more to their like. This great sports offers adventure in the water world, without the cost or hassle of scuba diving.

Unlike scuba diving, the equipment for snorkeling is a lot less expensive and you don’t need as much. The only things needed for a good snorkel trip are a snorkel, mask, and fins. Since snorkeling is not deep under the water, you do not need a tank, for you breathe through your snorkel. The essential accessory for a successful snorkeling trip is a good mask. You want to purchase a mask that not only fits your head size, but does not leak water. Without a good mask, it is impossible to take in all of the breathtaking views of marine life.

Many resorts offer many water activities, including tremendous snorkeling adventures. While divers are prominent in frequent tourists, snorkeling offers a cheaper, quicker look at the deep blue. Below is a list of some resort/hotels that offer great snorkeling packages:
