Cayo District

Cayo District is the 2nd largest district in Belize, with around 54,000 residents, all speaking either English or Spanish. The district covers north from Belmopan (south of Belize City by 1 hour) to the south in San Ignacio, which is approximately 2,000 sq miles of jungles, caves, and rivers. The tropical vegetation produces the major crop in the Cayo district, which is anything citrus, including oranges, tangerines, and also bananas.
